This project, undertaken within the Industrial Design Studio 2 course during the Fall 2021-2022 semester, focused on designing a portable Turkish coffee machine. The objective was to create a functional and user-friendly device that allows for the preparation and enjoyment of traditional Turkish coffee in various settings, addressing the need for a convenient and portable brewing solution. The project emphasized a user-centered design approach, considering the entire user experience from preparation to consumption.
Task
My contribution encompassed the complete design process, including ideation, concept development, 3D modeling, and user experience design. I developed a functional and aesthetically pleasing design for the portable Turkish coffee machine, creating a physical prototype to demonstrate its practicality. Furthermore, I crafted a storyboard outlining the user journey and highlighting the product’s integration into various usage scenarios, showcasing the user-product relationship and the overall value proposition of the portable coffee maker.
